I prioritze developing an experience that allows users to utilize the interface as if it was second nature. The best practice in UI/UX is to make stylish product that users can use efficiently and intuitively. My mission is to collaborate with both clients and colleauges to create this very thing.

Work Experience

UI/UX Designer

Jan 2022 to Present
  • Worked as the leading UI/UX Designer for Dillard’s Merchandise Recieving and Distribution team.
  • Interviewed users and stakeholders to discover how to best serve their needs on various projects.
  • Researched methods on making the user experience efficient and intuitive for various projects.
  • Presented proposed mock-ups to team and stakeholders. Discussed methods to follow through with proposed interface and user experience.
  • Created mock-ups with varied concepts to grasp the full scope of options for projects.
  • Collaborated with Developers, and contributed to the front-end developent of various applications. This called for utilizing HTMl, CSS, and Typescripts.

Web Design Intern

Jan 2016 to Dec 2021
  • Worked for the University of Arkansas at Little Rock’s IT Department as a student intern.
  • Created mock-ups of various web pages, and developed templates for the current IT E-mail Newsletter.
  • Created custom icons and graphics. Also created infographics and diagrams for the department to utilize.
  • Assisted with the implementation of Workday to the campus. I helped build and update the web pages used by faculty and students as resources for learning Workday.
  • Designed documents used for the department’s Information Security Bulletin to educate the faculty and students on best practices to keep important data protected.
  • Performed a site-wode audit to make sure departments' contact info matched records.

Between the 6 years I worked as a Web Design Intern at my university and the years I worked at Dillard's, I have worked in UI/UX Design for just under a decade, and even more than that when it comes to Art & Design. Throughout these years, I have always tried to push myself and get the most out of every new project I take on. I believe my determination and creativity has curate an exceptional array of skills, and I am always working to add to that collection so I can always deliver a great product in the end.
